1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact Children's Code Article 406(A), relative to costs and fees in juvenile
3 cases; to provide relative to the authority of the court to waive costs and fees in
4 juvenile cases; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. Children's Code Article 406(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read
7 as follows:
8 Art. 406. Waiver of court costs and fees
9 A. In its discretion, the court may waive costs and fees to the extent that a
10 party is unable to pay such costs and fees due to poverty or lack of means or for any
11 other reason determined by the court.
