HIGHWAYS: Redesignates a portion of Louisiana Highway 31 in Iberia Parish as the "Paul
Victor Featherston Memorial Highway"
1 AN ACT
2To redesignate a portion of Louisiana Highway 31 in Iberia Parish as the "Paul Victor
3 Featherston Memorial Highway"; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The portion of Louisiana Highway 31 between Louisiana Highway 677,
6Sugar Mill Road, and Louisiana Highway 86, Belmont Road, in Iberia Parish shall be known
7and hereby redesignated as the "Paul Victor Featherston Memorial Highway".
8 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
9hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
10provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
11actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to
12exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting the highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
