HIGHWAYS: Redesignates a portion of United States Highway 171 in Shreveport as the
"Elbert W. 'Eddie' Giles Memorial Highway"
1 AN ACT
2To redesignate a portion of United States Highway 171 in Shreveport, Louisiana as the
3 "Elbert W. 'Eddie' Giles Memorial Highway"; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The portion of United States Highway 171, otherwise known as Hearne
6Avenue, from the three-hundred through the four-hundred block, in Shreveport, Louisiana
7shall be known as and hereby redesignated as the "Elbert W. 'Eddie' Giles Memorial
8Highway".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
10hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation.
