Part III of Chapter 3 of Title 23 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, 8comprised of R.S. 23:271, is hereby enacted to read as follows: 9 PART III. VACCINATIONS IN THE WORKPLACE 10 ยง271. Immunizations of employees 11 As a condition of employment, no employee shall be required to present 12 evidence of immunity to or immunization against vaccine-preventable diseases if the 13 employee submits a written statement from a physician stating that the vaccine or 14 immunization is contraindicated for medical reasons or the employee submits a 15 written dissent objecting to the procedure.
