HLS 20RS-813 ORIGINAL 2020 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 693 BY REPRESENTATIVE ZERINGUE BUDGETARY CONTROL S: Removes certain reporting requirements 1 AN ACT 2To amend and reenact R.S. 39:1561(A), relative to reporting requirements; to remove certain 3 reports required by executive branch agencies; and to provide for related matters. 4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 5 Section 1. R.S. 39:1561(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6ยง1561. Authority and duties of the commissioner of administration 7 A. Except as otherwise provided in this Chapter, the commissioner of 8administration, hereinafter referred to as "the commissioner," shall have the authority and 9responsibility to promulgate regulations, consistent with this Chapter, governing the 10procurement, management, and control of any and all supplies, services, major repairs, and 11personal, professional, consulting, or social services required to be procured by the state. 12However, the commissioner shall not require by rule or regulation any policy or management 13board of public higher education or any institution under their jurisdiction to prepare or 14submit a monthly report on items purchased from state contracts or on contract item usage 15to the division of administration.
