VOTING/REGISTRATION: Authorizes each public school board to provide for an annual
student voter registration drive and to create a task force to organize such registration
drives
1 AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 17:2119, relative to voter registration for students; to authorize each public
3 school board to provide for an annual voter registration drive for students; to
4 authorize each board to create a task force to provide for such a registration drive;
5 and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 17:2119 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
8 ยง2119. Voter registration drives; school boards
9 Each city, parish, or other local public school board may establish a voter
10 registration drive annually during which students may register to vote at school.
11 Each board may create a task force to organize and provide for this registration drive.
