COUNSELORS/VOC REHAB: Provides relative to licensing fees for vocational
rehabilitation counselors
1 AN ACT
2To amend and reenact R.S. 37:3446(A), relative to the practice of vocational rehabilitation;
3 to provide for fees charged by the Louisiana Licensed Professional Vocational
4 Rehabilitation Counselors Board of Examiners; and to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 37:3446(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง3446. Fees; application for license
8 A. The board shall, by rule, establish and collect fees not in excess of the
9 following amounts:
10 (1) Application, license, and seal $200.00 500.00
11 (2) Written examination $100.00 300.00
12 (3) Renewal of license $100.00 250.00
13 (4) Reissuance for lost or destroyed license $50.00 100.00
14 (5) Late fee $50.00
15 (6) Retirement or inactive license $165.00
16 (subject to reactivation within five years)
17 (7) Verification or certification of license$50.00

Abstract: Provides for the collection of fees by the La. Licensed Professional Vocational
Rehabilitation Counselors Board of Examiners.
Present law provides that the La. Licensed Professional Vocational Rehabilitation
Counselors Board of Examiners shall establish, and collect, by rule, the following fee
amounts:
(1) Application, license, and seal $200
(2) Written examination $100
(3) Renewal of license $100
(4) Reissuance for lost or destroyed license $50
Proposed law increases and adds additional fees to be collected by the La. Licensed
Professional Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors Board of Examiners in the following
amounts:
(1) Application, license, and seal $500
(2) Written examination $300
(3) Renewal of license $250
(4) Reissuance for lost or destroyed license $100
(5) Late fee $50
(6) Retirement or inactive license (subject to reactivation within five years) $165
(7) Verification or certification of license $50
