R.S. 22:1931.13 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 9 §1931.13. Termination of Part 10 This Part shall terminate on July 1, 2020 2024. 11 Section 2. R.S. 40:1429 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 12 §1429. Effectiveness of Subpart 13 This Subpart shall be null, void, and unenforceable on July 1, 2020 2024. 14 Section 3. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2020; if vetoed by the governor 15and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1, 162020, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. Proposed law extends the insurance fraud investigation unit in the Dept. of Public Safety and Corrections, scheduled to terminate on July 1, 2020, until July 1, 2024. Effective July 1, 2020.
