HLS 20RS-1001 ORIGINAL 2020 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 844 BY REPRESENTATIVE IVEY TRANSPORTATION DEPT: Provides relative to the publication of the official state map by the Department of Transportation and Development 1 AN ACT 2To enact R.S. 32:2.1, relative to the base map of the Department of Transportation and 3 Development; to require the maintenance and regular update of the department's base 4 map; to provide for necessary rule-making authority; and to provide for related 5 matters. 6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 32:2.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง2.1. Cartographic mapping requirements 9 A. The Department of Transportation and Development shall direct the 10 Cartographic Mapping Unit to maintain and regularly update the official Louisiana 11 Department of Transportation and Development base map beginning in the year 12 2020 and every three years thereafter. 13 B. The Department of Transportation and Development shall promulgate 14 rules and regulations in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act as are 15 necessary to implement the provisions of this Section.
