Existing constitution provides that when the Legislature of La. is in session, neither house
shall adjourn for more than three days or to another place without consent of the other house.
The Resolution, adopted by both houses on March 16, 2020, expresses consent of each house
for the other house to adjourn until 11:00 a.m. on March 31, 2020, in order to minimize the
spread of COVID-19.
