BY REPRESENTATIVE BAGLEY
COMMENDATIONS: Commends Sally Katherine Pattison Bagley on her ninetieth
birthday
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Sally Katherine Pattison Bagley on her ninetieth birthday.
3 WHEREAS, Sally was born in Mansfield, Louisiana, on March 11, 1930, to Walter
4Clyde and Bertha Bowe Pattison; she was one of five girls born to this union; and
5 WHEREAS, in November 1947, less than one year after graduating from Mansfield
6High School, she married Lawrence Alton Bagley, and the couple settled in Longstreet,
7Louisiana; and
8 WHEREAS, Lawrence and Sally brought four children into this world: Larry, Pat,
9Kathryn, and Alan; and
10 WHEREAS, Sally earned a nursing degree and eventually became the head nurse on
11the pediatric floor of Schumpert Hospital; and
12 WHEREAS, Sally now resides in Blanchard, Louisiana, and is very active in the
13Baptist church there, where she is a member of the choir as well as the ladies sewing group;
14and
15 WHEREAS, Sally now has ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren,
16whom she treasures; and
17 WHEREAS, on the occasion of her ninetieth birthday, Sally Katherine Pattison
18Bagley is most deserving of celebration and recognition.
19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
20Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Sally Katherine Pattison Bagley on her

1ninetieth birthday and does hereby recognize her commitment to her family, church, and
2community.
3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Sally
4Katherine Pattison Bagley.
