ENROLLED 2020 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 5 BY REPRESENTATIVE BAGLEY A RESOLUTION To commend Sally Katherine Pattison Bagley on her ninetieth birthday. WHEREAS, Sally was born in Mansfield, Louisiana, on March 11, 1930, to Walter Clyde and Bertha Bowe Pattison; she was one of five girls born to this union; and WHEREAS, in November 1947, less than one year after graduating from Mansfield High School, she married Lawrence Alton Bagley, and the couple settled in Longstreet, Louisiana; and WHEREAS, Lawrence and Sally brought four children into this world: Larry, Pat, Kathryn, and Alan; and WHEREAS, Sally earned a nursing degree and eventually became the head nurse on the pediatric floor of Schumpert Hospital; and WHEREAS, Sally now resides in Blanchard, Louisiana, and is very active in the Baptist church there, where she is a member of the choir as well as the ladies sewing group; and WHEREAS, Sally now has ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren, whom she treasures; and WHEREAS, on the occasion of her ninetieth birthday, Sally Katherine Pattison Bagley is most deserving of celebration and recognition. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Sally Katherine Pattison Bagley on her ninetieth birthday and does hereby recognize her commitment to her family, church, and community.
