(gov sig) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 17:3129.1, relative to public postsecondary education; to provide relative to 3 the postsecondary education funding formula; to provide relative to the appropriation 4 of funds for postsecondary educational institutions; and to provide for related 5 matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 17:3129.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง3129.1. Postsecondary education; appropriations 9 A. In accordance with Article VIII, Section 12 of the Constitution of 10 Louisiana, appropriations for institutions of postsecondary education shall be 11 made to their management boards and administered by the boards as provided 12 by law. 13 B. An appropriation made to the Board of Regents on behalf of 14 institutions of postsecondary education shall not be deemed as having been 15 made to their management boards. 16 Section 2. Proposed law retains present law and additionally provides that appropriation made to the Board of Regents on behalf of institutions of postsecondary education shall not be deemed as having been made to their management boards.
