1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 18:1505.2(T), relative to campaign contributions; to provide for repayment of
3 personal contributions or loans; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 18:1505.2(T) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง1505.2. Contributions; expenditures; certain prohibitions and limitations
8 * * *
9 T.(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsections H and I of this
10 Section, any loans a candidate makes to his own campaign, as provided for in
11 this Section, may be repaid from campaign funds received in connection with
12 an election in which the candidate qualified for a public office.
13 (2) The provisions of this Subsection shall apply only to those candidates
14 who have terminated their public service as an elected official for at least one
15 year from the date of their last day in office.
