SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 28

APPROPRIATIONS. Suspends deadline for withdrawing appropriations from preceding
fiscal year from state treasury.
1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
2 To suspend until sixty days after final adjournment of the 2021 Regular Session of the
3 Legislature of Louisiana provisions or R.S. 39:82, relative to the deadline to
4 withdraw appropriations from the preceding year against which bona fide liabilities
5 existed as of the last day of the fiscal year.
6 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana hereby suspends
7 the provisions of R.S. 39:82 which establish a deadline to withdraws appropriations from the
8 preceding year against which bona fide liabilities existed as of the last day of the fiscal year.
9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this suspension shall become effective upon
10 adoption of this Resolution and shall extend through the sixtieth day after final adjournment
11 of the 2021 Regular Session of the Legislature of Louisiana.
