A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend Stephen Robicheaux on the occasion of his retirement as head coach of the
Destrehan High School Wildcat football program.
WHEREAS, Stephen Robicheaux recently announced his retirement after eighteen
years as head coach and twenty-six years with the Destrehan High School Wildcat football
program; and
WHEREAS, during that time, Coach Robicheaux compiled a head coaching record
of one hundred eighty-six wins and only forty-one losses, for a winning percentage of
eighty-two percent; and
WHEREAS, Coach Robicheaux led the Wildcats to several undefeated regular
seasons and deep playoff runs, with the Wildcats reaching the state semifinals five times
over his last seven seasons; and
WHEREAS, the Wildcats brought great pride to the Destrehan community and its
fans by participating in four state championship games at the nearby Superdome during
Coach Robicheaux's tenure; and
WHEREAS, while on a school record-setting, multi-season, thirty game win streak,
Coach Robicheaux's Wildcats captured back-to-back state championships for the 2007 and
2008 seasons; and
WHEREAS, Coach Robicheaux ended his career with one last trip to the Superdome
for the 2019 state championship game; and
WHEREAS, even with all of his on-field successes, Coach Robicheaux's greatest
accomplishments were off the field as a role model, mentor, and friend to his student
athletes.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend Stephen Robicheaux on the occasion of his retirement as head coach of the
Destrehan High School Wildcat football program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Stephen Robicheaux.
