CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences upon the death of Charles "Charlie" Norman
Woods Jr.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
3 death of Charles "Charlie" Norman Woods Jr.
4 WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the
5 Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana have learned of the passing of Charles "Charlie"
6 Norman Woods Jr. on March 18, 2020, at age fifty-four; and
7 WHEREAS, a longtime resident of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, Charlie was born on April
8 3, 1966, to Charles Woods Sr. and Alice Herbert Woods, in Lafayette, Louisiana; and
9 WHEREAS, he was the dining room Floor Supervisor of The Pioneer Club for
10 thirteen years; and
11 WHEREAS, he never met a stranger and always had a great sense of humor; he had
12 a nickname for everyone he knew; and
13 WHEREAS, Charlie enjoyed spoiling his nieces and nephews and was very much
14 a family man as he and his wife helped raise his nieces and nephews; and
15 WHEREAS, those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha Bass Woods;
16 mother-in-law, Margret Bass; two brothers, Farron Woods and wife Jennifer, and Jason
17 Woods and wife Venessa; two sisters, Totsy Domingue and husband Todd, Wendy Gregory
18 and late husband Shane; a host of nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and

1 great-nephews.
2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
3 does hereby express sincere condolences upon the death of Charles "Charlie" Norman
4 Woods Jr.
5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to his
6 wife, Martha Bass Woods.
