2020 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 63 BY SENATOR JOHNS A RESOLUTION To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the death of Charles "Charlie" Norman Woods Jr. WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana have learned of the passing of Charles "Charlie" Norman Woods Jr. on March 18, 2020, at age fifty-four; and WHEREAS, a longtime resident of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, Charlie was born on April 3, 1966, to Charles Woods Sr. and Alice Herbert Woods, in Lafayette, Louisiana; and WHEREAS, he was the dining room Floor Supervisor of The Pioneer Club for thirteen years; and WHEREAS, he never met a stranger and always had a great sense of humor; he had a nickname for everyone he knew; and WHEREAS, Charlie enjoyed spoiling his nieces and nephews and was very much a family man as he and his wife helped raise his nieces and nephews; and WHEREAS, those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha Bass Woods; mother-in-law, Margret Bass; two brothers, Farron Woods and wife Jennifer, and Jason Woods and wife Venessa; two sisters, Totsy Domingue and husband Todd, Wendy Gregory and late husband Shane; a host of nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincere condolences upon the death of Charles "Charlie" Norman Woods Jr. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to his wife, Martha Bass Woods.
