APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of consent judgment
against the Department of Transportation and Development in the suit entitled
"Virginia B. Guidry v. Louisiana Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, et al"
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the State General Fund (Direct) for payment of the consent
3 judgment entitled "Virginia B. Guidry v. Louisiana Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance
4 Company, Theriot Farms, LLC, Iryn Joseph Woods, Progressive Security Insurance
5 Company and the State of Louisiana, through the Louisiana Department of
6 Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  The sum of Six Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 ($6,500.00) Dollars
9is hereby appropriated out of the State General Fund (Direct) for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 for
10payment of the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Virginia B. Guidry v. Louisiana Farm
11Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, Theriot Farms, LLC, Iryn Joseph Woods, Progressive
12Security Insurance Company and the State of Louisiana, through the Louisiana Department
13of Transportation and Development", bearing Number C642-19 on the docket of the Thirty-
14First Judicial District Court, parish of Jefferson Davis, state of Louisiana.
15 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
16signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
17by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If
18vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
19effective on the day following such approval.
