1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 13:5807.5(introductory paragraph), relative to certain costs and
3 fees for services by marshals and constables; to provide relative to the fees of office
4 of city marshals and constables; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 13:5807.5(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and reenacted
7 to read as follows:
8 ยง5807.5. Fees and costs
9 Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 13:5807, the marshal of the City
10 Court of Ruston and the marshal of the city of Houma shall be entitled to the
11 following fees of office and no more in civil matters:

13 Section 2. In accordance with the provisions of R.S. 13:62, the increase in court
14 costs or fees as provided for in this Act shall become effective if and when the Judicial
15 Council provides a favorable recommendation in the Judicial Council 2022 Report to the
16 Louisiana Legislature.
