1	AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 37:2354(B)(4), (C)(4), (F), and (G) and Section 16 of Act No. 251 of the 2009
3 Regular Session of the Legislature of Louisiana, relative to the Louisiana State Board
4 of Examiners of Psychologists; to provide for assistants to a psychologist; to provide
5 for licensure and license renewal fees; to establish fees for continuing professional
6 development activities; to provide for special services; to provide for rulemaking by
7 the board; and to provide for related matters.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1.  R.S. 37:2354(B)(4), (C)(4), (F), and (G) are hereby enacted to read as
10 follows:

15	(4)  The board shall charge an application fee for the initial registration of
16 each assistant to a psychologist that shall not exceed fifty dollars.  The board shall
17 adopt rules in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act to implement the
18 provisions of this Paragraph.

21	(4)  The board shall charge an annual renewal fee for every assistant to a
22 psychologist in this state during the month of July of each year, beginning in the year

1 immediately subsequent to his initial registration.  Such renewal fee shall not exceed
2 fifty dollars.  The board shall adopt rules in accordance with the Administrative
3 Procedure Act to implement the provisions of this Paragraph.

5	F.(1)  The board shall assess an application and renewal fee to an individual
6 who sponsors a continuing professional development course or activity and seeks
7 review and pre-approval of a continuing professional development course or activity.
8 The application and renewal fee shall be in an amount not to exceed two hundred
9 fifty dollars.
10	(2)  The board shall assess an application fee to a licensee who seeks review
11 and pre-approval of a continuing professional development course or activity.  The
12 application fee shall be an amount not to exceed twenty-five dollars.  The application
13 fee shall apply only if a licensee intends to earn a credit for the course or activity in
14 which the sponsor has not sought review or obtained approval by the board.
15	(3)  The board may collect reasonable admission fees from a licensee who
16 elects to attend a continuing professional development course or activity which may
17 be offered, sponsored, or co-sponsored by the board.  Such course or activity shall
18 be an elective to a licensee who attends and the board shall not require attendance
19 for such activity.
20	(4)  The board shall adopt rules in accordance with the Administrative
21 Procedure Act to implement the provisions of this Subsection.
22	G.(1)  The board may assess an administrative fee in an amount not to exceed
23 two hundred dollars for special services including but not limited to any of the
24 following:
25	(a)  Application for authority to conduct telesupervision.
26	(b)  Application for an inactive license or renewal license status.
27	(c)  Application for emeritus status and renewal.
28	(d)  Any written or computer-generated license verification.
29	(e)  Any written or computer-generated disciplinary report.
30	(f)  To obtain a duplicate license.

1	(g)  To obtain a duplicate renewal certificate.
2	(h)  To obtain a mail list.
3	(2)  The board shall adopt rules in accordance with the Administrative
4 Procedure Act to implement the provisions of this Subsection.
5 Section 2.  Section 16 of Act No. 251 of the 2009 Regular Session of the Legislature
6 of Louisiana is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 Section 16.  This Act shall be known and may be cited as "The Dr. James W. Quillin,
8 MP, Medical Psychology Practice Act".
