HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 110
BY REPRESENTATIVE BAGLEY AND SENATORS BERNARD AND MILLIGAN
A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association for its distinguished
achievements and to designate Thursday, June 3, 2021, as Louisiana Occupational
Therapy Association Day at the Louisiana Legislature.
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association serves the public by
advancing the quality, availability, and support of occupational therapy by providing
essential research and education and by upholding high ethical standards in civic advocacy;
and
WHEREAS, the contributions of occupational therapy to furthering health, wellness,
and productivity are invaluable to society; and
WHEREAS, occupational therapy is a health and rehabilitation profession devoted
to assisting people with regaining, developing, or building the essential skills for
independent functioning and to fostering the well-being and security that enhance quality
of life; and
WHEREAS, the dedication of the men and women of the Louisiana Occupational
Therapy Association has made a difference in communities throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association is sponsoring its
annual Legislative Day at the legislature on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend the members of the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association for their
significant achievements; does hereby recognize and record their unwavering commitment
to excellence in serving the community; and does hereby designate Thursday, June 3, 2021,
as the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association Day at the Louisiana Legislature.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
president of the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association.
