HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 132
BY REPRESENTATIVES ILLG, SCHLEGEL, AND WILLARD
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Jesuit High School lacrosse team on winning the 2021 Louisiana High
School Lacrosse League Division I state championship.
WHEREAS, the Jesuit High School lacrosse team capped off an undefeated season
with a victory over Catholic High School of Baton Rouge in the lacrosse league Division I
state title game on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Lee Hedges Stadium in Shreveport; and
WHEREAS, Jesuit suffered the loss of its leading scorer, Andrew Brown, after he
sustained an arm injury in the first half; however, the team embraced the challenge and went
on to win their sixth state lacrosse championship since the Louisiana High School Lacrosse
League's founding in 2008; and
WHEREAS, Jesuit was led by the stellar offensive performance of senior attacker
Evan Centola, who scored six goals and two assists and earned the game's offensive and
overall Most Valuable Player honors; senior Max Milano earned defensive Most Valuable
Player honors for the game; and
WHEREAS, Head Coach Zach Pall led the Jesuit High School lacrosse team to a
perfect 10-0 record in his first season as the team's coach; and
WHEREAS, the Jesuit High School lacrosse team won its first five state
championships in succession from 2012 to 2016; and
WHEREAS, the members of the 2021 Jesuit High School lacrosse team are most
deserving of recognition for their incredible championship season and for reclaiming the title
as the best of the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Jesuit High School lacrosse team on
winning the 2021 Louisiana High School Lacrosse League Division I state championship;
does hereby recognize the team's excellence over the past decade; and does hereby extend
sincere hopes that the team continue to work hard and enjoy similar success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
principal of Jesuit High School.
