HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 182

A RESOLUTION
To commend the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer team on winning the Louisiana High
School Athletic Association 2021 Division IV state championship.
WHEREAS, the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer team defeated Academy of
Sacred Heart, 5-4 on penalty kicks, to capture the Division IV state championship at
Southeastern Louisiana's Strawberry Stadium; and
WHEREAS, the victory gave Newman its fifth state title in the last six years; and
WHEREAS, the Newman girls' soccer team finished their championship campaign
with a record of twelve wins, four losses, and three ties; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer team are most
deserving of recognition for their incredible efforts throughout their championship season.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Isidore Newman School girls' soccer
team on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2021 Division IV state
championship; does hereby recognize the team's inspiring dominance over the past six
seasons; and does hereby extend sincere hopes that the members of the team enjoy similar
success in all of their future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
principal of Isidore Newman School.
