Requests that the state Dept. of Education develop a written plan for an education savings
account program through which state funds could be used to pay for educational services for
certain students whose parents are on active duty in the military, whose parents have
requested and been denied a transfer pursuant to present law, or who have achieved
permanency in a foster care placement. Requests that the department plan for the program
to begin not later than the 2022-2023 school year and that it submit the plan to the House
Committee on Education and the State Bd. of Elementary and Secondary Education by not
later than 60 days prior to the 2022 R.S.
