HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 45

A RESOLUTION
To commend the Simsboro High School boys' basketball team on winning the 2021
Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class B state championship.
WHEREAS, the Simsboro High School boys' basketball team finished the 2020-2021
season with a 25-2 record; and
WHEREAS, the Simsboro High School boys' basketball team defeated Anacoco
High School in the LHSAA Class B state championship by a score of 56-53; and
WHEREAS, Braxton Taylor scored eighteen points and was named the game's most
outstanding player; and
WHEREAS, with this victory, the Simsboro High School boys' basketball program
has now won five state championships throughout the school's history; they are most
deserving of recognition for this incredible accomplishment.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Simsboro High School boys' basketball
team on winning the 2021 Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class B state
championship and does hereby extend sincere hopes that the members of the team continue
to reap the benefits of their hard work and perseverance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
principal of Simsboro High School.
