HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 48

A RESOLUTION
To commend the 2019-2020 royal court of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Rodeo.
WHEREAS, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Mounted Division is a volunteer
organization that consists of deputies who offer their time, energy, vehicles, and horses to
serve Tangipahoa Parish and the surrounding area; and
WHEREAS, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Rodeo, which is sanctioned by the
Professional Cowboy Association, was established in 2011 as a fundraiser to assist the
volunteer deputies with the costs associated with providing these services to the community;
and
WHEREAS, the volunteer deputies and their equine partners host the Tangipahoa
Parish Sheriff's Rodeo every September; and
WHEREAS, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Rodeo pageant was established in 2016
and features five age divisions; the 2019-2020 royal court members are Miss Queen, Scarlet
Brantley; Teen Miss Queen, Kaylee Sharp; Deb Miss Queen, Gentry Giacone; Little Miss
Queen, Marley Wildey; and Petite Miss Queen, Kaylee Sundo; these talented young women
reign as the 2019-2020 Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Rodeo royal court, and they are most
deserving of recognition.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the 2019-2020 royal court of the Tangipahoa
Parish Sheriff's Rodeo; does hereby recognize the volunteer deputies of the Tangipahoa
Parish Sheriff's Office Mounted Division for their service and dedication to the citizens of
the parish; and does hereby extend sincere wishes for the continued prosperity of the 2019-
2020 royal court members and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Mounted Division.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to each
member of the 2019-2020 royal court of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Rodeo.
