ENROLLED 2021 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 81 BY REPRESENTATIVE DEVILLIER A RESOLUTION To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Mark C. Link. WHEREAS, Mark was a lifelong farmer in Richard, Louisiana; he served as a member of the Richard Volunteer Fire Department, and since 1986, as Acadia Parish Fire District #1 board secretary; and WHEREAS, Mark was a founding member and board member of Church Point Bank; and WHEREAS, Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-nine years, Claire Moody Link; his children, Dr. Catherine Link McGee, and her husband Jack; Matthew C. Link, and his wife Shauna; Kevin Link, and his wife Hannah; and Eric Link, and his wife Kelsey; his grandchildren, Josephine McGee, Grant, Ada, Nora, Everett, and Scarlett Link; his sister, Lucille Link Chocallo, and her husband Bill; his lifelong friend and cohort, Charles Bellard; his caretakers, Shirley and Sam Ceaser, and Rose Hornsby; and a host of extended family and friends; and WHEREAS, Mark C. Link will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in those who knew and loved him. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express heartfelt condolences on the death of Mark C. Link; does hereby record for posterity his service to the Richard community as both a farmer and volunteer fireman; and does hereby extend sincere hopes that his family, friends, and loved ones find comfort during this difficult time.
