HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 87

A RESOLUTION
To commend Nicholas Gautreaux of Notre Dame High School on winning the Louisiana
High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) 2021 Class 2A boys discus throw state
championship.
WHEREAS, on Friday, May 7, 2021, the top athletes from Class 2A schools
competed in the LHSAA/Allstate Sugarbowl Track & Field Meet at Bernie Moore Track on
the Louisiana State University campus; and
WHEREAS, Notre Dame High School's Nicholas Gautreaux took home the state title
in the boys discus throw with an outstanding throw of 143'2"; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas is most deserving of recognition for his hard work and
dedication and for his outstanding achievements at the year's penultimate high school track
and field meet.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Nicholas Gautreaux of Notre Dame High
School on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2021 Class 2A state
championship in the boys discus throw event and does hereby extend sincere hopes that he
continue to work hard and enjoy success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
principal of Notre Dame High School.
