Prefiled pursuant to Article III, Section 2(A)(4)(b)(i) of the Constitution of Louisiana.
1	AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 40:964(Schedule I)(A)(72) through (79), (Schedule II)(B)(30), and (Schedule
3 IV)(B)(57) and to repeal R.S. 40:964(Schedule V)(F), relative to the Uniform
4 Controlled Dangerous Substances Law; to add certain substances to Schedules I, II,
5 and IV; to repeal certain substances in Schedule V; to provide for technical changes
6 by the Louisiana Law Institute; and to provide for related matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  R.S. 40:964(Schedule I)(A)(72) through (79), (Schedule II)(B)(30), and
9 (Schedule IV)(B)(57) are hereby enacted to read as follows:
10 ยง964. Composition of schedules
11	Schedules I, II, III, IV, and V shall, unless and until added to pursuant to R.S.
12 40:962, consist of the following drugs or other substances, by whatever official
13 name, common or usual name, chemical name, or brand name designated:
14	SCHEDULE I
15	A. Opiates. Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another schedule,
16 any of the following opiates, including their isomers, esters, ethers, salts, or salts of
17 isomers, esters, and ethers, whenever the existence of such isomers, esters, ethers,
18 or salts is possible within the specific chemical designation:

20	(72)  Beta-hydroxythiofentanyl (N-[1-[2-hydroxy-2-(2-thienyl)ethyl]-4-
21 piperidinyl]-N-phenylpropanamide)

27 of such salts, isomers, and salts of isomers is possible within the specific chemical
28 designation:

2 Section 2.  R.S. 40:964(Schedule V)(F) is hereby repealed.
3 Section 3.  The Louisiana State Law Institute is hereby authorized and directed to
4 renumber the substances in R.S. 40:964(Schedule I)(A), (Schedule II)(B), and (Schedule
5 IV)(B) to ensure that the substances are in alphabetical order.
