1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact the introductory paragraph of R.S. 13:5554(FF), relative to group
3 insurance available through sheriff's departments; to provide for payment of certain
4 costs associated with group and self-insurance plans; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The introductory paragraph of R.S. 13:5554(FF) is hereby amended and
8 reenacted to read as follows:
9 ยง5554. Group insurance; kinds; amounts; subrogation

11 FF. Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsection D of this Section, the
12 sheriff of Livingston Parish shall pay out of the sheriff's general fund the premium
13 costs of group insurance or the premium costs, administrative costs, or benefit
14 payments of any self-insured plan for any retired sheriff and any retired deputy
15 sheriff who retires from the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office as follows:
