SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 85

A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend Debbie Roussel, executive assistant for the Legislative Fiscal Office, for a
long and distinguished career and exemplary public service to the state of Louisiana
upon the occasion of her richly deserved retirement.
WHEREAS, Debbie Roussel began her career in state service for the Honorable
Senator Ken Hollis in 2004 as secretary of the Senate Committee on Commerce and
transitioned to the Legislative Fiscal Office in 2007; and
WHEREAS, it is with deep appreciation that the Legislature of Louisiana recognizes
the service that Debbie has provided in support of the duties of the Legislative Fiscal Office;
and
WHEREAS, Debbie Roussel is the mother of four wonderful children and
grandmother of two adoring grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, unknown to many, Debbie Roussel has performed in numerous gigs as
the immensely talented drummer for the punk rock band "Your Mom Band".
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend and congratulate Ms. Debbie Roussel for a distinguished career in public service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend
best wishes to Debbie on the occasion of her retirement from the Legislative Fiscal Office
and hopes for health and happiness as she begins the next chapter of her life and embarks
on new endeavors and adventures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Ms. Debbie Roussel.
