SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 219

COMMENDATIONS. Commends Becky Louque for being named the St. James Parish
School System's 2020-2021 Principal of the Year.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend Becky Louque for being named the St. James Parish School System's
3 2020-2021 Principal of the Year.
4 WHEREAS, Mrs. Louque has been an educator for over twenty-nine years, during
5 which time she has provided exemplary and dedicated service to her students; and
6 WHEREAS, her excellence results from her commitment, dedication, inspiration,
7 patience, creativity, hard work, and the highest order of professional integrity; and
8 WHEREAS, she currently serves as the principal of Cypress Grove Montessori
9 Academy; and
10 WHEREAS, her mission is to educate the whole child - the mind, the body, and the
11 soul; and
12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Louque also seeks to empower her staff so that they can educate
13 the whole child; and
14 WHEREAS, she not only often recites Dr. Maria Montessori's quote "free the child's
15 potential and transform him into the world", but she actively communicates her belief in the
16 quote through her daily interactions with her staff and students; and
17 WHEREAS, being selected Principal of the Year is a well deserved honor for her
18 steadfast commitment to her students and her enthusiastic leadership to her staff.

1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
2 does hereby sincerely commend Mrs. Becky Louque for being named the St. James Parish
3 School System's 2020-2021 Principal of the Year.
4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
5 Mrs. Becky Louque.
