HOUSE BILL NO. 132
BY REPRESENTATIVES GREEN AND SCHEXNAYDER
BRIDGES/FERRIES:  Redesignates the Crescent City Connection bridge in New Orleans
as the "Edwin W. Edwards Connection"
1	AN ACT
2To redesignate the Crescent City Connection bridge in New Orleans as the "Edwin W.
3 Edwards Connection"; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  The Crescent City Connection bridge on U.S. Highway 90 located in New
6Orleans, Louisiana shall be known and is hereby redesignated as the "Edwin W. Edwards
7Connection".
8 Section 2.  The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
9hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
10provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
11actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to
12exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by the DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
