HLS 22RS-510 ORIGINAL 2022 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 295 BY REPRESENTATIVE ROMERO HEALTH: Requires that proof of COVID-19 antibodies be treated and recognized as being vaccinated 1 AN ACT 2To enact Part XIII of Chapter 5-B of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to 3 be comprised of R.S. 40:1125.1 and 1125.2, relative to vaccination status; to require 4 COVID-19 antibodies to be equivalent to vaccinated status in certain circumstances; 5 and to provide for related matters. 6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. Part XIII of Chapter 5-B of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 81950, comprised of R.S. 40:1125.1 and 1125.2, is hereby enacted to read as follows: 9 PART XIII. PROOF OF ANTIBODIES AND VACCINATION 10 §1125.1. COVID-19 antibodies; proof of SARS-COV-2 vaccination 11 Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, any public facility 12 requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19 shall recognize proof of COVID- 13 19 antibodies as the equivalent of proof of a SARS-COV-2 vaccination. 14 §1125.2. Proof of prior COVID-19 infection; SARS-COV-2 vaccination requirement 15 Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, if any person presents 16 proof of prior COVID-19 infection and diagnosis, such proof shall be recognized as 17 the equivalent of a SARS-COV-2 vaccination.
