MEDICAL MARIJUANA: Removes the termination provision applicable to the therapeutic
use of marijuana law
1 AN ACT
2To repeal R.S. 40:1046(K), relative to the termination date of the ability to grow,
3 manufacture, and dispense marijuana for therapeutic use; to remove the termination
4 date; and to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 40:1046(K) is hereby repealed in its entirety.

Abstract: Removes the termination date from the therapeutic use of marijuana law.
Present law requires that the provisions of the therapeutic use of marijuana that address rule
making, dispensing and licensure of dispensers, reporting requirements, location limitations
based on licensure, bidding and contract awards, and fees terminate on Jan. 1, 2025.
Proposed law repeals present law.
