DIGEST SB 207 Original 2022 Regular Session Luneau Present law prohibits a motor vehicle that has been issued a certificate of destruction from being issued a salvage or reconstructed title. Present law further prohibits a motor vehicle that has been issued a certificate of destruction from being titled or registered by the office of motor vehicles for use on the roads or highways of this state. Present law further prohibits a motor vehicle that has been issued a certificate of destruction from being resold as a retail unit; but shall only be dismantled, sold for any usable parts, or crushed. Proposed law repeals present law. Effective August 1, 2022.
