(8/1/22) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 32:707(B)(3), relative to transfer of ownership of a vehicle to an insurer; to 3 remove certain notarization requirements; and to provide for related matters. 4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 5 Section 1. R.S. 32:707(B)(3) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6 ยง707. Application for certificates of title; exception; salvage title; antique vehicles; 7 reconstructed title 8 * * * 9 B. * * * 10 (3) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a transfer of the ownership 11 of a vehicle to an insurer resulting from the settlement of a total loss claim shall 12 not require a notarized signature on the certificate of title.
