Code of Criminal Procedure Arts. 983 and 984(c) are hereby repealed. DIGEST SB 451 Original 2022 Regular Session Carter Present law requires that the total cost to obtain a court order expunging a record not exceed $550. Present law provides that an additional $50 court cost be paid to the Dept. of Public Safety and Corrections, office of motor vehicles, for the costs of storage and retrieval of the records. Proposed law repeals fees provided for in present law related to obtaining an expungement order. Effective August 1, 2022. (Repeals C.Cr.P.
