1	AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 32:381.1, relative to motor vehicles; to provide for prohibited alterations; and
3 to provide for related matters.
4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  R.S. 32:381.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 ยง381.1.  Prohibited vehicle modifications; wheel well
7	A.  No person shall operate a motor vehicle upon any highway if, by
8 alteration of the suspension, frame, or chassis, the height of the front fender is
9 six or more inches greater than the height of the rear fender. For the purposes
10 of this Subsection, the height of the fender shall be a vertical measurement from
11 and perpendicular to the ground, through the centerline of the wheel, and to the
12 bottom of the fender.
13	B.  The provisions of this Section shall only apply to vehicles with no
14 payload and no trailer attached.
