BAGLEY, GLOVER, HORTON, MCCORMICK, MCMAHEN,
PHELPS, PRESSLY AND SEABAUGH 
A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend Robert J. Wright on his retirement from fifty years of exceptional radio
broadcasting.
WHEREAS, on Friday, April 29, 2022, one day after his seventieth birthday,
Robert J. Wright will celebrate fifty years of radio broadcasting; and 
WHEREAS, Robert J. Wright, a native of Palestine, Texas, moved to Bossier City
as a teenager with his family; he is a graduate of Jesuit High School and Loyola University
in New Orleans; and
WHEREAS, he began his first job in radio while attending Louisiana State
University-Shreveport and since then has conducted morning shows in several cities,
including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cleveland, Ohio, and Orlando, Florida; and
WHEREAS, in 1996, Robert returned to Shreveport where he teamed with Erin
McCarty to debut their morning show on The Big Dog 94.5 radio station, playing Top 40
music hits; in 2003, the duo moved to 96.5 KVKI where they hosted Townsquare Media
Shreveport's Robert and Erin Morning Show, and in March 2014, Robert and Erin began
their hit talk show, the KEEL Morning Show with Robert and Erin on KEEL 101.7FM and
710AM in Shreveport; and
WHEREAS, Robert J. Wright, a masterful story teller and critical thinker, has been
keeping northwestern Louisiana citizens informed about all the topics that matter in the
community, the state, and the nation; always finding the other side of the story, he has been
a voice of reason always in search of the truth; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wright merits a sincere measure of recognition for his exceptional
contributions to radio broadcasting in northwest Louisiana and his dedication to his devoted
listeners.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend Robert J. Wright on his retirement from fifty years of exceptional radio
broadcasting and wishes him happiness as he enjoys his travels and other adventures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Robert J. Wright.
