SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 125
BY SENATOR FIELDS
COMMENDATIONS. Commends Eric Brown on graduating from Madison Preparatory
Academy of Baton Rouge.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To congratulate Eric Brown on graduating from Madison Preparatory Academy of Baton
3 Rouge and to commend him on his many accomplishments.
4 WHEREAS, graduating from high school is an important milestone in a student's life
5 that signifies success in academics and the achievement of one's goals; and
6 WHEREAS, graduating from high school is one of the most important indicators of
7 future success in life, including employment prospects, income potential, and overall health;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, Eric Brown is set to graduate from Madison Preparatory Academy of
10 Baton Rouge in the spring of 2022, and it is appropriate to recognize him for all of his
11 accomplishments throughout his high school career; and
12 WHEREAS, Eric has worked diligently to prepare himself for college by
13 participating in the Louisiana State University Upward Bound college preparatory program;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, Eric has been a dedicated member of the Louisiana Leadership Institute
16 throughout his high school career and actively participates in Saturday Class, where students
17 learn about various topics such as politics, current events, public speaking, interpersonal
18 skills, and much more; and

1 WHEREAS, most recently, Eric won the Louisiana Leadership 2022 Black History
2 Essay Contest where he competed against some of the finest students in the Baton Rouge
3 area; and
4 WHEREAS, Eric will attend Southern University Agricultural and Mechanical
5 College of Baton Rouge, where he plans to study rehabilitation; and
6 WHEREAS, Eric Brown exemplifies the very best of students in the class of 2022
7 and his future holds incredible promise; and
8 WHEREAS, through his academic achievements and his involvement with the
9 Louisiana Leadership Institute, Eric has formed a solid foundation which will serve him well
10 in his future endeavors.
11 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
12 does hereby commend and congratulate Eric Brown on becoming a 2022 graduate of
13 Madison Preparatory Academy of Baton Rouge.
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
15 Eric Brown.
