2022 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 74 BY SENATOR MORRIS A RESOLUTION To commend Ashlee Bell upon being named Lincoln Parish High School Teacher of the Year. WHEREAS, Ashlee Bell was among twenty individuals named and honored by the Lincoln Parish School Board for their contributions in the classroom during the 2021-2022 school year; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bell attended Louisiana Tech University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History in 2008, a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature in 2010, and a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Teaching in 2013; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bell became a high school English teacher eleven years ago and has been teaching at Ruston High School in Lincoln Parish for the past five years; and WHEREAS, she currently teaches English IV Honors, AP English Literature, and Dual Enrollment English 101 and 102; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bell is passionate about teaching strong written and spoken communication skills to students and working with other educators to develop authentic, engaging curriculum that meets the needs of diverse student populations; and WHEREAS, the success of the state of Louisiana, the strength of our communities, and the overall vitality of American society depend, in great measure, upon dedicated educators like Ashlee Bell who have devoted themselves and their careers to the betterment of education in their communities, their parish, and their state. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Ashlee Bell upon being named Lincoln Parish High School Teacher of the Year.
