1 AN ACT
2 To designate certain highways and bridges in the state highway system; to designate the
3 bridge located on Louisiana Highway 1 between Avoyelles and Pointe Coupee
4 parishes as the "Marion Peter Roy, Sr., Memorial Bridge"; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana;
7 Section 1. The bridge located on Louisiana Highway 1 that connects Avoyelles and
8 Pointe Coupee parishes shall be designated as the "Marion Peter Roy, Sr., Memorial Bridge".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
10 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
11 provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
12 actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installations of each sign.
