1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 13:589(C), relative to the salary of magistrate judges in the
3 Fourteenth Judicial District Court; to change the salary of magistrate judges in the
4 Fourteenth Judicial District Court; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 13:589(C) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง589. Fourteenth Judicial District Court; magistrate judge

9 C. The salary of the magistrate judge of the Fourteenth Judicial District
10 Court shall be seventy-five percent ninety percent of the salary paid to judges of the
11 Fourteenth Judicial District Court per annum, and the salary and related benefits as
12 provided by law shall be payable in the same manner from the same sources as the
13 salary and benefits of a judge of the Fourteenth Judicial District Court. The support
14 services and personnel including minute clerks and stenographers, as shall be
15 necessary for the offices of the magistrate judge, shall be paid from the same source
16 as the same positions in the Fourteenth Judicial District Court.
