HOUSE BILL NO. 497
BY REPRESENTATIVE STEFANSKI
1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 37:2805(C) and to enact R.S. 37:2802(A)(4), relative to the
3 Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners; to provide for the term of a member; to
4 provide a time period for notice of acceptance or rejection of an application for
5 licensure; to provide for acceptable methods of notice; and to provide for related
6 matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 37:2805(C) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S. 37:2802(A)(4)
9 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 
10 §2802.  Board of chiropractic examiners

13	(4)  The term of each board member shall be four years from the date of his
14 appointment.

16 §2805.  Requirement for license; penalty; qualifications; examinations; issuance of
17	license

19	C.  After investigation of the application and other evidence submitted, and
20 not less than thirty days prior to the examination, the board shall notify each
21 applicant within ten business days of a determination that the application and
22 evidence submitted for consideration are satisfactory and accepted, or unsatisfactory

1 and rejected.  Notice may be sent by United States Postal Service, commercial
2 carrier, electronic mail, or facsimile.   If an application is rejected, the notice shall
3 state the reasons for such rejection.
