APPROPRIATIONS/SUPPLEML: Makes supplemental appropriations for Fiscal Year
2022-2023
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds to be allocated to designated agencies and purposes in specific
3 amounts for the making of supplemental appropriations for Fiscal Year 2022-2023;
4 to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. The following sums are hereby appropriated from the State General Fund
7(Direct) for the purpose of making supplemental appropriations for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.

10Payable out of the State General Fund (Direct)
11to the Board of Regents for the purchase of eleven
12mechanical chest compression devices $ 220,000
13Provided, however, that the funds appropriated above from the State General Fund (Direct)
14shall be used to supply the following post-secondary education institutions with mechanical
15chest compression devices: Grambling State University, Louisiana State University and
16Agricultural and Mechanical College, Louisiana Tech University, McNeese State University,
17Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Louisiana
18University, Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, University of
19Louisiana at Lafayette, University of Louisiana at Monroe, University of New Orleans.
20 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
21signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
22by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
23vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
24effective on the day following such approval.

(7) Southeastern Louisiana University.
(8) Southern University.
(9) University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
(10) University of Louisiana at Monroe.
(11) University of New Orleans.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
