New law designates a portion of La. Hwy. 657 between its intersection with La. Hwy. 1 and
La. Hwy. 3235 in Larose, La., as the "Clarence Marts, Jr. Memorial Highway".
New law directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by the DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
Effective August 1, 2023.
