HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 149

A RESOLUTION
To commend For His Temple Family Foods for its farm-to-table efforts in preparing and
serving locally sourced foods and for promoting a family-style approach to healthy
eating in northeast Louisiana.
WHEREAS, For His Temple Family Foods is a wholesome restaurant in West
Monroe, Louisiana, that takes its inspiration from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 of the Bible,
honoring the body as a temple of the Holy Spirit and treating it as such by eating only the
healthiest food possible; and
WHEREAS, For His Temple Family Foods promotes eating whole, real food that is
devoid of chemicals and toxins, but also loaded with flavor and nutrition; the restaurant
emphasizes the total removal of processed foods from our diets; and
WHEREAS, rather than the traditional restaurant approach, For His Temple Family
Foods uses a rotating menu that is based on seasonal ingredients; the food is completely
gluten-free; and
WHEREAS, For His Temple Family Foods is most deserving of the highest
recognition for its mission to promote and provide the opportunity for healthy, sustainable
eating habits in northeast Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend For His Temple Family Foods for its farm-
to-table efforts in preparing and serving locally sourced foods and for promoting a family-
style approach to healthy eating in northeast Louisiana and does hereby extend sincerest
wishes that the restaurant continue to prosper in its mission to improve the dietary habits of
its community.
