HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 31
BY REPRESENTATIVES BAGLEY AND SCHAMERHORN
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Many High School football team on winning the Louisiana High School
Athletic Association 2022 Division III state championship.
WHEREAS, the Many High School Tigers football team captured the 2022 Division
III non select state title by defeating the Union Parish High School Farmers football team,
35-13, in the championship game in New Orleans; and
WHEREAS, the 2022 championship game was the fourth consecutive title
appearance for the Tigers football program; the victory also gives the program a total of
three state championships, including two in the past three years, and an undefeated season
record of fourteen wins and zero losses; and
WHEREAS, Head Coach Jess Curtis has established the Many High School football
program among the best in the state of Louisiana; the Tigers' defense put on an incredible
display holding the high-powered Union Parish offense to eight first downs and only two
hundred forty total yards; on the offensive end, the Tigers' trio of running backs Jeremiah
James, Tackett Curtis, and Trenton Williams each rushed for over one hundred yards; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Many High School Tigers football team are most
deserving of the highest recognition for their sustained excellence over the past decade and
for winning the 2022 Division III state title.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Many High School football team on
winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division III state
championship and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that the team's coaches, players, and
training staff continue their excellent work and always strive for greatness.
